Label
reading is one of the ways to be proactive about your health. It's a great way
to tell you how much fiber is in a particular food, among other things. Nutrition Facts labels are
typically placed in the back or side of a food package. Always refer to the
serving size of a label first. Pay attention to how many servings there are in
the food package. Then figure out how much YOU actually consume as the values
on the Nutrition Facts label may change.
Next, look for the dietary fiber. It should be at least 3 grams or more per
serving.
Now you’re ready to look
for how much dietary fiber is in your food whenever there is a Nutrition Facts
label. Happy reading!
